Vodacom contract pricing increase

Vodacom Package pricing increase: 1 April 2024.

Vodacom will be increasing their package pricing from 1 April 2024. With Comb Vodacom plans being custom-made for our specifications, we have plans which fall into the RED VIP, Flexi as well as Mobile BroadBand (MBB) packages.

The price increase will be as below

  • RED Integrated: 8% increase + extra data
  • RED VIP: 7% increase + extra data
  • Flexi: 7% + extra airtime
  • Mobile BroadBand (MBB): 8% – no extra value

*If you are on a Red Flexi package we recommend that the plan is upgraded as we have noticed that units are not fully communicating on this package due to no data specifically allocated to this package.


Questions that you may have regarding your complex’s contract

1. Why is there another price increase?

Price increases happen every year, across the industry, to align to inflation and increased operational costs. Rest assured that we are committed to keeping this as low as possible, at just 7.7%, on monthly subscription, while still providing superior quality. Please note that this translates to 4.6% on a customer’s monthly bill.

It applies to all Postpaid contract customers on RED Integrated, MBB, FWA, and Flexi plans

4. Will this impact the recurring bundles?

No, it won’t. These bundles will stay at the same price.

5. Why are you changing my price when I just signed my contract? What about CPA and the terms and conditions?

Vodacom reserves the right to update its terms and conditions as long as customers are made aware of any changes at least 20 working days beforehand. This also doesn’t breach CPA as the increase is in line with inflation. Please note that new and upgrading customers in February and March will receive a 2-month grace period, meaning those joining/ upgrading in March will get their increase in May 2024, and those joining or upgrading in March will receive their increase in June 2024

6. I just signed up for a new plan (between February and March) and now have to pay more. Is this fair?

We apologise for any inconvenience, you’ve joined us during our annual price increase period. Given that you have just joined South Africa’s leading network, we’ve given you a 2-month grace period before increasing the price of your plan.

7. Why did I get a 7% increase on one of my contracts but 8% on another line?

This price increase is on average a 7,7% increase on your total bill, the percentage is dependent on the specific plan you are on which is why it is different. Ie) Integrated plans have an 8% increase vs RED VIP which is at a 7% increase
